Submit Paper

The Conference Program Committee of the 12th International Conference on Energy and Environment - CIEM 2025 invites researchers, practitioners and students worldwide to submit papers for consideration to be presented at the conference. Submitted papers must be original work with no substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or conference with proceedings. The papers are invited on all topics related to the energy sector and especially for the topics below:

Electrical Power Systems & Smart Grids

Energy Management & Security, Sustainability and Resilience in Energy

Applied Energy

Renewable Energies

Advanced Power Generation Systems & Technologies

Smart Cities & Digital Transformation in Energy


Abstract

Prospective authors should submit their abstracts by e-mail to the address: ciem@upb.ro until 5th of May 2025. The Abstract Template can be found at Downloads Section.

Authors will be notified via email of acceptance or rejection of the Abstract by 9th of May 2025.

The suggested structural guidelines of abstracts are:

1. Title: The title should be short, however, reflective to the paper contents and objectives. Titles need not be too descriptive nor be very specific.

2. Introduction and Purpose: A paragraph introducing the topic and highlighting its importance. The introduction may summarize the previous research or related experience (Literature search). The introduction should end with a clear statement of the objective or research question of the paper or presentation. A statement such as “In this paper/presentation we introduce a model for …”, or “In this paper/presentation we report on our experience in …”, etc.

3. Methodology: A paragraph describing the approach/methodology used to achieve the paper objectives. This may include model, analysis, survey, experience, interviews, etc.

4. Findings: A paragraph summarizing the findings resulting from applying the methodology or approach. Statements such as “We achieve xx% reduction in …” is suitable.

5. Closing: A paragraph or statement stating the relevance, contribution and benefits of the paper or presentation to the conference theme, related sub-themes (Topics) and conference attendees. Recommended actions, extensions, expansions of the study, etc. may be included in this paragraph.


The criteria for evaluating Abstract suitability for CIEM 2025 include:


1. Relevance to the conference topics and/or conference theme (value of the paper to the conference attendees)

2. Contribution to the field of Technology, Innovation and Management

3. The research methodology or approach followed

4. The findings, results or outcome of the research/application

5. Abstract structure

6. Proper use of the English language

Authors whose Abstracts are accepted will be requested to provide the full paper by 30th of May 2025 in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Submit Paper section.

The Full papers, maximum length five (5) pages, must be prepared according to the template, see Downloads Section.

Full papers must be submitted to the on-line submission and review site:

The Full papers can be uploaded in *doc, *docx or *pdf format.

When you Create New Submission of your Full paper on the submission website, please select one primary subject area from the CIEM 2025 list of topics. The submission site will open on 28th of April 2025.

The paper review process is double-blinded (Don’t forget to remove authors’ names and affiliations from the paper!). Each paper is reviewed by at least two expert reviewers of the International Scientific Committee.

Authors will be notified via email of acceptance or rejection of the paper by 13th of June 2025.

Once the paper is reviewed, each author will be able to view the reviewers’ comments. If revisions are required, authors will be notified prior to that date.


Full paper

The Final Paper (Camera-ready) version must be submitted by 30th of June 2025.


The working language of the conference is English, which will be used for all printed material, presentations and discussions.
