 Water Essays Competition 2013

What is Water Essays Competition?

The Water Essays Competition is a two-week competition for Romanian and foreign students. It is related to the International Conference on Energy and Environment and it focuses on a new topic every two years. This year's topic is Smart solutions for water industry. The competition will take place between the 28'th of October and the 9'th of  November.  

The students will work in teams. The structure of the multidisciplinary teams will lead to accentuated knowledge exchanges and team-work skills acquisition. The teams have to write the essays in the two-week time without having to be physically together at all times, by using the Internet as the main means of communication. They should focus on the originality and innovativeness of the solutions.

The competition is organised by the University Politehnica of Bucharest – Faculty of Power Engineering in partnership with International Water Association - Young Water Professionals Romanian Chapter and Romanian Water Association.

Three prizes will be awarded in descending order to the top three teams:
- 1st prize: 4 Samsung Galaxy Tab II 10.1 P5100 White 16GB
- 2nd prize: 4 external hard disk
- 3rd prize: 4 USB memory stick, 64 GB
